Let's End Mismanagement of City Funds

 

The community should not be held responsible for the errors or mistakes of the administration. I’ve seen the mismanagement of city funds in unfinished projects, unoccupied buildings and excessive tax/salary hikes.  I believe I have the skills as an entrepreneur, with more than twenty seven years of experience running my own business, to help create a fiscally conservative city council, willing to take ownership of projects, working towards the successful completion of each endeavor.

My Primary Objectives

 

City improvement will be my top priority. I will amend the city budget and lower property taxes. I will work tirelessly to improve the quality of life for residents of Ogden City. I will focus my objectives in the following areas:

 

1. I will fight to increase the salaries of the Ogden Police Department to retain our extraordinary police officers and provide them with a better quality of life.

2. I will work to cap city employee bonuses at 8% and reduce wasteful city spending to retain fiscal responsibility.

3. I will cut excessive salary hikes for Ogden City administrators. I believe, as many of you do, that their salaries should not exceed the salary of the mayor.

4. I will provide needed sidewalks and safer routes to school. All seven miles of sidewalk projects around the schools in the Ogden School District will be completed.

5. I will encourage Ogden residents to work together to make our neighborhoods safer and reward participation in  neighborhood watch programs.
